Get involved in the Lancaster Recovery Task Force!
The Lancaster County Recovery Task Force started in 2004 with a small group of individuals who wanted to advance the recovery movement in Lancaster County through education and public awareness. Knowing that individuals diagnosed with a mental illness have a chance to get better by having someone believe in them and by their own persistence, the small group rapidly grew into a task force of sixty-four.
Recovery is becoming comfortable with who you are as a whole person. The focus is on you, not your diagnosis, so that you can run your life as you choose. We understand the importance of a fulfilling network of friends and your primary supports who can be outside of the mental health system.
This project is funded in part under a contract with the Lancaster County Office of Mental Health/Mental Retardation/Early Intervention
